May – Recap

Wow, a month flies by so quickly…
It seems like I’ve been in this for so long…

Anyway, let’s get to business! πŸ˜€ What were my May goals, and what have I done with them.

Like I said in one of my previous blog posts (Bullet Journal) there is a specific way in which I set my goals, and that is like it has already happened.

  • I have 10 Blog Followers
  • I have connected Mailchimp with my wordpress
  • I have figured out how to insert my signature at the end of every post
  • I have written all of my ‘Book of the month’ posts for a whole year
  • I have researched new ideas and added them to the June Goals list
  • Future posts for June are written and scheduled

As you can see, everything is set and accomplished πŸ˜€
Now, many things that I wanted to do in June, ended up accomplished in May – I didn’t list them here, because they are not that relevant and weren’t on my primary list. What I want to say is that you don’t have to be strict with just the goals that you’ve set. It’s okay that you go an extra mile. If you enjoy it – go for it. It should be that way.

Like, I had 6 goals for May, now I have more than 15 goals for June – and I’m sure that the list is going to grow even more. Play with your creativity – after all, life is too short to play it save and for you to do things that don’t get you excited. It’s 10 past midnight here and I’m writing this post (and I have many more ideas on my mind). This is what doing what you love is like. Even though you are tired, you just enjoy what you’re doing – it relaxes your mind.

This is a beginners blog and a tale of my amateur road to success. Yes, I make mistakes, yes my content isn’t ‘Dalai Lama Wisdom’, yes I get insecure at times, yes I question everything…But, I keep reminding myself, I’m at the beginning. Of course that nothing will be perfect – but I strive it to be as useful to you guys as I can. That should count – effort. Accepting that we don’t know everything – but we are willing to learn. Many things won’t work out in the beginning. And that’s OK. We try again tomorrow. We look for other things that will make more sense. Embrace that you are an amateur – it gives you a much greater advantage that the one that an expert has – willingness to learn is much as you can.

Embrace every new step and every error. It only makes you stronger and smarter. πŸ™‚
Strive to be better than you were yesterday.

If I can help you in any way, you know that you can contact me at

Talk to you guys soon. πŸ™‚

The Doctor

  • When is the right time to acknowledge that we are not immortal and that our lives are fragile?

I’ve been volunteering for the Red Cross for a couple of years, and in that time I’ve seen it all…The good….The Bad…The really, really bad…And the really, really good. But one thing that I’ve come across is the among those brave souls that give their all for other people – is that some of us have, what I like to call, a Superhero Defect… We love to help others, it gives us the necessary drive to overcome hard times and help when it’s most needed, but we forget our own mortality and vulnerability…

I think that acknowledging our limits is one of the most important steps towards maturity. I’m not saying that we should limit ourselves in every aspect of our lives. But just to rationally think what are the things that we can expand our comfort zone, and what are the things that we just can’t play the game of chess with. If we don’t know how to swim, but jump in the
stormy sea to save someone… Is that practical? On the other hand…is in jumping moral?

We all have moments in life when we need to address this question. To some it comes sooner, to some later – but it nevertheless comes. And sooner or later, we need to find an answer.

  • Does our life as we know it stops, after we find an answer?

No, it doesn’t – in some way. We stop living an illusion that we will live forever, and we stop doing things that will hurt us in a serious way. But, if we use this in the right way. We can live the best lives that we possibly can. We start to engage in creating the best life we can imagine. We work on ourselves and we build a life worth living.

  • So, what now?

Now, we live. πŸ™‚

Thank you for reading.

The exercise – May

One of my Goals in the Health aspect of my Bullet Journal is that I do the following exercises everyday.

  • 20 sit ups
  • 5 push ups
  • 15 squats
  • 25 lunges
  • 50 jumping jacks
  • 40 sek plank
  • 25 crunches
  • 25 sek wall sit
  • 10 butt kicks

I’ve always been a sports person and there wasn’t a day in my life that I haven’t been active in something (Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming, Running, Horseback Ridding, Bicycling, Mountaineering). And ever since I started working – everything fell apart. Which automatically pulled my health downwards as well.

And it made me think, how can I change that?

I’ve met many people who like to push themselves hard and let me tell you – hard is not something that I associate with good health. Many people out there won’t agree with me, and that’s OK. We all have different approaches to our lives and goals. My goal is just to feel good during and after the process. And I don’t feel good pushing myself to hard. πŸ™‚ (When it comes to exercise)

I like to enjoy my exercise journey. πŸ™‚ The sentence ‘No pain, no gain’ just doesn’t apply to me when my health is the topic of the conversation.

I’m not looking to bulk myself or achieve tight abs and muscles in a record period of time. It’s just not my style. πŸ™‚ I will get there, but with my standards and in due time. πŸ™‚

I like to observe my body and mind. Calmly and with time, things will start to progress, and let me tell you, they already have. πŸ˜€

When I first started the above mentioned exercises, I got to the lunges and then I wanted to throw up… Yeah, it was that bad… Plus, I haven’t gotten that much out of my apartment because of the pandemic – so you can add one and one. 😦

Many would say, well you shouldn’t have stopped there. You should have rested and then continued. This was not one of those times. πŸ™‚ Rather, let me say – I didn’t choose it to be.

There is time when we should push, there is a time when we should take the time out, and there is a time when we should quit for the day. Let me emphasize the last part again.

I didn’t ‘quit period’. I just decided to hand in my resignation for that day.
And the next day I tried again. With the little modification. I didn’t try to do all 25 lunges on one side all at once, I split it (5 one leg + 5 other…5 one leg + 5…etc.) and I made it to crunches – and then I quit for the day.

Day 3 – did it all (with breaks between the exercises)

Day 4 – did them all (without breaks)

Day 5 – I’m killing it.

No one is chasing you. No one is expecting grand things of you. No one is forcing you. Do what is right for you! And one day, you’ll see it. You’re going to do things you’ve never though that you can do. πŸ™‚

Patience. Persistence. LOVE. πŸ™‚ You got this! Just keep on striving! πŸ™‚

Let me know what you thought of this post, do you have a similar or, maybe completely different story?

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. πŸ™‚

The Detachment

I’ve been thinking a lot about the role that detachment has in the process of loving someone.

Is it healthy?

This is the first question that emerged. On one hand I like to believe that we should allow ourselves to separate love for ourselves and love towards others. Many times in my life I’ve been given proof that without the first one, the other can’t prevail. If we focus love only towards ourselves, what is the point in living if we can’t share our joys and sorrows with others in order to grow? If we focus love only towards others, we will die inside and out like a flower that isn’t receiving water.

Detachment, if you ask me, is crucially needed in order for us to feel The Balance.

Others may perceive it as a lack of love towards them – How do we convince them that it’s not? Is it our duty to convince them? (I don’t think that it is, but I still don’t have an answer to the first question). How do we help them not to feel unloved in times when we just want to step back for a second to analyze ourselves?

In this situation, the famous sentence ‘ It’s not you, it’s me’ – seems like an appropriate thing to say. But, how will they take it? Not too well in my experience.

So, we need a little detachment. That’s a given.

But, how do we convince everyone else, that that is OK?

I would really like to hear you opinion. πŸ™‚ This is something that I need help with.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. πŸ™‚

The Bullet Journal

Hey guys, so today I decided to talk to you about a thing called ‘The Bullet Journal’. My assumptions are that many of you have already heard about it – and are probably experts when it comes to organizing, writing and drawing.

I’m not. Let’s get that straight out. πŸ˜€ And that’s OK.

I’ve been hoping that this post would serve it’s use, mainly for you guys to be my heroes (and who knows, maybe my amateur little BJ is going to help some of you as well).

But, this post is mainly a shout out too all those wonderful geniuses who are already experienced in creating the useful and easy content that will help many of us expand or even make us decide to start our own little BJ adventure.

I’m a grand believer that we get what we put out, so let’s not postpone the big reveal. Let me guys give you a little tour of my monthly BJ.

MAY 2020

  1. So, every month I like to start of with an inspirational quote. May 2020 is all about ‘I’m destined to accomplish a grand success”

2. Then I like to set my goals for the upcoming month. There are 4 aspects that I like to focus on:
-HEALTH (Psyche and Physical)
-LOVE (For myself, Family, Friends and Community)
-PLAY (Hobby, Book, Blog)
-CAREER (Education and Work) – In this aspect I include the financial goals as well.

Usually, I set my goals in a way as if they’ve already been accomplished. That way I focus my brain on a positive outcome. Like, I don’t know, instead of writing ‘ I will save 200 EUR this month’, I write ‘I’ve saved 200 EUR this month.’ That way I’m more focused on it’s completion ASAP than focusing on the process of completing it eventually (and, let’s face it, if we focus on doing things eventually…well, we can all admit that doesn’t happen).

After completing your task/goal color it in green/orange etc. whatever color represents ‘success’ to you. πŸ™‚

3. Third part I like to dedicate to my habits. Basically I try to substitute my bad habits with the good ones. It has been a hard road since I first started using this and let me tell you… I am one peach of a undisciplined hot potato , if you’ll pardon my french.

One thing that made me feel better is that we are all undisciplined, and that it takes time. So, give yourself some slack…It will be better, just keep grinding! πŸ™‚

4. And last, I have my weekly/daily tasks and goals, In this sheet I’ve also managed to insert a part where at the end of the day I write my daily gratitude, daily income and outcome (money) and Notes.
This part of my BJ is something that I’m really proud of because it took me many months to figure out what is it that I actually want – and that is, to have as much information in one place as possible. I asked myself: ‘What are the most important things that I wish to see everyday?’
I couldn’t deal with the fact that many people use ether one day/one sheet of paper, or couple of days on one sheet of paper. I needed to have a whole week in front of me so I can plan it carefully – and in order for me to have a broader picture of what my plans for the whole week are about.

I use A4 notebook and it suits me really well. The mark of it is FABRIANO – from Italy and it cost me 3.7 EUR.

Anyway, I don’t like to spend too much sheets on crazy stuff and I like my notebook to last me throughout the whole year.

If you guys ask do I color it, or make it seem a little more ‘alive’, yes I do, but that comes as each day passes.

One of the things that I totally put an ! mark, is that you don’t have to follow everyone else’s rules, make your Bullet Journal suit your needs. Remember, it’s been created to ease your life, not make it more difficult. Explore various ideas and yourself. This should be something that you enjoy doing.

Thank you so much for reading!

If you guys have any suggestions, please let me know.

  • Do you think I should have something else?
  • Do you have something that helps you, but I didn’t include in mine?
  • Do you have a better design of something that I have and think that it’ll help me be more organized?

Really, anything that you think that’ll help me, I’m eager to hear from you. πŸ™‚

Thank you.

The Message

I’ve been thinking a lot about The Message that I wish this blog to represent and send. Many people will consider this to be the ‘The Best Version Of Me’ Blog. And in some ways, yes this can be it. But, one of the most important things for me, at this point in my life is… The fact that we don’t have to post The smartest, The High Definition, Best quality etc. kind of posts in order to consider ourselves worthy of the the title ‘Influencer’.

Now, do I consider myself an Influencer? Yes, in some ways I do. But not the kind who polishes everything in order for everyone else to think that my life is perfect, which will probably have a result of you putting yourselves in a position to dislike your life and the current situation that your in.

No. Let me clarify what this Blog means to me, and hopefully for you guys too.

This Blog follows my course of thoughts. And my current path in life. Everything good and bad that comes along the way. I wish to encourage, first myself, and then hopefully you into accepting every version, aspect and situation that is a part of your life.

Being an influencer, for me, represents a person that teaches us something valuable. That makes us feel hopeful. That gives us a warm feeling that everything is going to be OK. Especially during hard times. My hope is that while I discover/build myself, that I can help you guys (and of course, that you can help me) to manage every situation that comes. Maybe I’ll help you figure out something for yourselves, and you guys certainly know something that I don’t – so please, tell me, teach me, I’d like to know. πŸ™‚

I can only hope that this Blog will gather up people who will learn and share experiences, be supportive and positive about life (being sad is OK too, let those emotions flow through you, there is no point in bottling them up) – just know that everything will be OK at the end. πŸ™‚

My vision for the future is that I’ll re-post this text in the next couple of years, looking back at my past visions and plans for it. πŸ™‚ And seeing how things changed over time.

Let me know how you’ve perceived this Blog when you first discovered it?

I would really like to hear you opinion on this topic. So, please don’t be shy in letting you thoughts out. You can comment in the comment section below, or you can message me privately via

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. πŸ™‚

The Job

Hey guys!
So, this time I’m writing to you about my first job and how I got it.
Anyway, like most college graduates, there comes a time when you just have to push yourself to go out of your comfort zone and swim into the crazy world of business. Unfortunately, not many colleges prepare us for that step in our lives. Mine included. So you’re left with dozens of books and no experience to back that knowledge up. Oh the agony!

Most of my pears seemed to get their jobs easily, and I just didn’t get how. So I asked them. Do you know what they told me? They said, get an internship. And did you know what I found out on those internship ads? Believe it or not, on them, there was a well known sentece:

Previous experience of minimum one year, required.

For a freaking….internship…???

And no, I did not get any of the internships I signed up for…Four months past by, and I was sick of it. I didn’t ask any of my friends for any advice, and for once I decided to take myself out for a drink, in a beautiful restaurant by the river, and I started asking many questions. Like:

What is a job?

‘A job is something that requires a certain set of skills.’
Bare with me…I was young and naive, and this is what my answer looked like…BUT, look here…That answer, no matter how silly it sounds led me to take action in researching on the internet all the definitions of the word Job. If I wanted to get it – I needed to understand it – that was my way of thinking. And that internet research led me to the free ‘Business skills’ program that our Ministry of youth was organizing.

For a month I spend with 20 people (students and unemployed people over 30 years old) learning, doing case studies etc. Until I got to the end of the program where we all had a one on one simulation interview with an HR expert. I sucked at that interview, just so you know. I did so bad…that I was embarrassed with my inability to sell myself…

BUT, it led me to my other action plan and question:

Who is standing between me and my future Job?

Well, I’m glad you asked. An HR expert. And what do I need to do? Yeah, you guessed it – I needed to understand them.

So, I spend the next week searching private HR agencies and sending them my CV and motivational letter that I wish to volunteer for their organization etc. I think I send my first 5 e-mails when I got a reply from one of them, saying that she has an agency, but is not looking for anyone to hire at the moment…BUT, that I can assist her for the next week just so I can get a grasp of how an HR recruiter operates.

I cannot express my gratitude towards that woman enough! I thank her even today, because while I was ‘volunteering’ for her, I dared to send an e-mail to one company about a job offer.

And, a month latter – ladies and gentlemen – yeah….this chick got a job! πŸ˜€

One of the most interesting things that I remember from that time (and that was two years ago) is that people didn’t want to call me for an interview for an internship (NOT to pay me), but I applied for one job…and I got it…

The next thing I want to tell you is this :

Listen to your inner thoughts…Ask yourself questions…What do you need? What do you lack? What do you need to do to gain that?

Don’t let other people influence on what you should and should not be doing with YOUR life. πŸ™‚

And, the reason I write to you about this is…Well, I hope that it inspires you a little bit to take action for yourself…No one will do it for you. πŸ™‚

For me, that was two years ago, and now, when the State of emergency is abolished I plan to quit my job and take on a new adventure. Something that I’m, and I won’t lie, scared of. There are a lot of things that I don’t know yet – but I’m determined to learn them taking one step at the time. The path that I’m about to take requires a lot of courage, patience and investment…

And I’m looking forward to a day when I’ll be able to tell you all about it. With my mistakes and victories – ups and downs…. πŸ™‚

How did my post made you feel? Did it provoke any questions? I would really like to hear all that you wish to share with me. πŸ™‚

So, please, don’t be shy in letting your thoughts out. You can comment in the comment section below, or you can message me privately via

I’m looking forward to hearing from you. πŸ™‚

PS. Out of 20 people that were in that program I was the first that got a job and I’m still the one who is employed in the same company. Made it from an assistant to a Manager of the Belgrade office (Got the manager position 9 months after my first day). Do the work!

Others either are still unemployed or have changed many jobs through these years…

So, take action guys. Don’t get a job just because you want one – think about what you want to do. And most importantly : How can it serve you and your growth path? And How can you serve your company? πŸ™‚

PPS. The featured image is a New Years Dinner with the Managers and their husbands/wives. They are very dear to me…Thought me many, many great things about business and life.

The distress

I know that all of us have been scared, at one point or the other… That’s OK. It’s normal that from time to time we find ourselves in a situation that is unknown to us and that, for the time being, we don’t know how to handle. Believe me, that’s great, because you’re living!

Think about those people who say that they never feel scared. From my point of view they’ve set themselves in the comfort zone so deep that they don’t have any new experiences, they don’t grow. And believe me – they are more scared than us who face the fear directly. They fear the fear. And what kind of living is that? Would you rather live and face the uncertainty or live in a safe bubble?

How do you deal with fear?

I’m not going to lie. Many times I’ve been put in situations that my body reacts like it’s going to blow up at any point. Don’t get me started with my mind. Complete chaos! Sometimes the words ‘It’s going to be OK’ – just don’t work. The mind is focused too much on the emotion, that no rational explanation works. So, what to do in that moment?

1- I cry.

Seriously, CRY! Not because you’re weak, or incapable, or …I don’t know what kind of self destructive though comes to your mind. Ignore it! Cry! Let it out, don’t hold it in. Holding it in will many times create an even bigger problem.

2 – I write the heavy thoughts.

Write EVERYTHING! If your mind says ‘Oh’-write it down. If the next thought is ‘ Yes’ – write it. Trust me. It doesn’t have to make any sense! Your mind is in chaos! Sense is not there! And that’s OK. Sometimes, we need to let the chaos out in order to understand the meaning. Sometimes we need to get everything out of the messy closet in order to put everything back where it belongs. Don’t be afraid of your messy closet – don’t be afraid of your mind – don’t be afraid of yourself!

Sometimes…you are NOT OK…and that’s, believe it or not…TOTALLY OK. πŸ™‚

The Family

Yeah, we all know what the word Family means. But, c’mon, let’s widen our perspective just a little bit. Let’s dig deeper!

What does the term Family mean to you on a psychological level (remember, not biological)?

Someone who we can connect with verbally? Someone who shares those empathetic moments with us (you know, who can feel what you feel, vise versa)… Maybe someone who can read our minds without the words ever being spoken? A friend? A lover? An acquaintance?

Interesting thought…Can an acquaintance be considered family? Can our mind ‘accept’ that? Is it rational? Does it have to be?

Hmm…is considering a person ‘ A Family Member’ more related to our Emotional decisions or Rational? Does it have to be one or the other?

I think that both sides play a small part in the decision making. So, we need a balance. We need to explore all the perspectives.

At times like these, when such a virus is at our doorstep…Do we dare to let in anyone to whom we aren’t blood related? Do we dare to consider our neighbor a family member? Do our perspectives of other people change? Does our mind show us the ugly or beautiful side?

Unfortunately, I’ve seen both…Both in me, and in other people. I’ve made a mistake of letting my thought go as further as to avoid everyone. It’s the fear – which makes us act quite irrational.

I guess the only question we can ask ourselves in these moments is…

Who do I wish to be? πŸ™‚

I’ve been thinking about this question for two weeks… It’s easier to answer it when things are good – but, what about now when the circumstances are a little bit different?

I don’t want to be someone who is scared of living, and someone who isn’t willing to put out a hand for another human being. Life goes on with or without us – so let’s catch a wave and use it while we still can. πŸ™‚

Who do you wish to be? And, who are you now? Is your answer the same? I would really like to know and discuss it with you further. πŸ™‚

You can comment in the comment section below, or you can message me privately via

I would really like to build a interacting community here, so please, know that your inputs are valuable. πŸ™‚

I wish you and your family a very well day/evening (wherever on this globe that you are reading, thank you )

The Balance

What does being in Balance mean?

To be honest, most of the time, I feel like I’m swinging a bat, completely blindfolded and with my feat sealed to the ground by the unbeatable force of gravity. You know, like one of those inflatable plastic puppets that swirl all around, with no sense of direction what so ever.

Sometimes, I think that being in balance means just that. Making sure that you’re well grounded, but allowing yourself to swirl around (or, as Will Smith would say it – Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It).

I guess we could debate about this for a long period of time but, can we actually find The One and Only answer? My opinion is that we can’t. We’re all trying to live our lives the best we can. And, I suppose that we all have some kind of an idea on what that should look like…

Or, maybe we can get to the One and Only answer, which would be – Being in balance means being ourselves – and, that’s hard to figure out. Why? Because no one like us existed before – so we don’t actually have a clue on how we should live our lives. Who knows, maybe our lives are meant for us to explore that balance. To explore ourselves.

Maybe being in balance means that we should always strive towards it. Maybe it’s not something that we can achieve completely. If we don’t seek it, maybe we’ll be in chaos our whole lives.

And…maybe…some people like chaos – and that’s some kind of balance for them.

I think that it’s all about accepting things as they come, accepting ourselves as we strive or fall. Just believing that the next morning is smarter than the evening before. Letting go of what was, and accepting whatever comes next.

And I think that that is Ok….

Yeah, that’s completely Ok. πŸ™‚

The Human and The New Habit

You know how we have those moments when an idea pops into our head and we get so excited that we can’t wait to start making that idea come true? And then we imagine the bright, bright…Oh, so bright future – we get overwhelmed with joy and all those amazing things that we’re going to accomplish – until a day, week, maybe a month later (every person is different) that same exciting idea, bursts like a bubble.

Yeah… So far, that was my journey with this blog. πŸ™‚

And that’s OK. Do you know why?

Because new habits are hard to build. I’ve researched many articles about ‘habit implementation’, ‘habit switcheroo’s ‘ etc. And they all have one thing in common – the key is to Focus on the goal, learn from the results (good and bad). And that is the most ‘precise – simple – gives back your hope’ kind of rule that everyone should know when it comes to building habits.

Yeah, I admit, my focus on this blog wasn’t so sharp, and I have the results to prove it. BUT, I do have couple of amazing people that follow me, and that I follow, that somehow, I find my situation not so bad after all.

BUT, I am determined to do better. Because, this project means a lot to me, and it kind of sets the base for something even bigger that I have in mind (sorry guys, no spoiler alerts from this gal πŸ˜‰ I’m not the one to kiss and tell).

Anyway, The Human and The New Habit is about the acceptance of hard times in life and the acknowledgement that bad times aren’t our final destination. We need to learn how to separate the wishes from the goals.

Let me give you an example.

A wish is: Oh God, I hope my future boyfriend has blue eyes.

A goal is: I am going to be with that man no matter what!

Just kidding. πŸ˜€ A wish is something that sounds nice but you know that you won’t die if you don’t get it (a wish is not a ‘Deal Breaker’). Where on the other hand, a goal is a must! Something that you know you want and that you’re willing to do what ever you need to make it happen (And yes, a Goal is a Deal Breaker). Of course, don’t take those two examples I gave you too seriously. I wrote them just for the dramatic effect, to explain the NEED of making something happen.

Who knows, maybe to some people it’s a must for their partner to have blue eyes. People are acceptably and variously weird, and I’m Ok with that. πŸ˜€

The point I’m trying to make is: It’s Ok to make mistakes, just make sure you know what mistakes are important – or, what mistakes will help you get to your goal faster and smarter.

After all, that’s what this project is all about – Growing Smarter. πŸ™‚

If you feel like you have something to add, please do. I’m always open to hear from other people. The difference in our perspective is something that also helps us grow.

Kind and warm hugs!
